# Rewriting Materials Discovery with AI: Aixelo at CleanTech Capital Day

**Aixelo took the stage in a lively discussion on how AI is reshaping the way we discover and design materials. **

Just as pharma AI is reshaping drug discovery R&D, materials AI is a fast-emerging field with the potential to transform innovation of advanced materials and climate tech. To get there, we need to rewrite the rules of materials discovery with AI. In fact, that was the theme of a panel discussion [Aixelo Inc.](https://www.linkedin.com/company/aixelo/) participated in at the just-concluded Cleantech Capital Day in Estonia.

The event delivered as promised with the opportunity to explore fresh ideas and bold innovations over two robust days. Joining [Christoph Kreisbeck](https://www.linkedin.com/in/christoph-kreisbeck-45728790/), our CEO, on the panel were [Rebecka Löthman Rydå](https://www.linkedin.com/in/rebecka-l%C3%B6thman-ryd%C3%A5-b8638a55/), Norrsken general partner; [Wouter Van de Putte](https://www.linkedin.com/in/wouter-van-de-putte-1b5a9219/), investment director at Capricorn Partners; [Tobias Coppejans](https://www.linkedin.com/in/tobias-coppejans/), COO at VSParticle; and [Taiga Ueta](https://www.linkedin.com/in/taiga-ueta-80276217b/) at Nordic Ninja. We explored how AI is enabling the faster discovery of new, sustainable materials, and spoke on how each of us is turning ideas once deemed impossible into market-ready innovations.
