# Where Automation Meets AI: Aixelo Visits Chemspeed Technologies

**Aixelo and Chemspeed Technologies exchanged insights on how automation, digitalization, and AI are accelerating materials discovery and transforming the modern laboratory **

One of the cool things about being in AI is exposure to mind-blowing people and places. [Aixelo Inc.](https://www.linkedin.com/company/aixelo/)’s recent visit to [Chemspeed](https://www.linkedin.com/company/chemspeed-technologies/) Technologies certainly qualifies. Managing Director [Bernd Gleixner](https://www.linkedin.com/in/bernd-gleixner-15502010/) led a show and tell of Chemspeed’s expertise in providing automated laboratory R&D and QC workflow solutions. A warm welcome was followed by fascinating conversations around the future of materials development, where automation meets AI/ML in Materials Acceleration Platforms in combination with cutting edge instruments like XRD or multi-modalities.

All of us materials scientists can agree that this is an exciting time of transformation; modern technologies, like lab automation, digitalization and AI/ML, are reshaping traditional laboratories. The shift is real, and it’s accelerating fast. High-quality data from such world-class automated lab systems providers as Swiss-based Chemspeed becomes fuel for intelligent platforms, Aixelo’s Edison-4.0(TM) included, that can analyze experimental data in real time and suggest the next best experiments. This is where the loop begins to close.

Assuredly, the future of materials science isn’t just digital – it’s collaborative, data-driven, and already in motion.
